Scope
These terms apply to purchases of physical products ordered through Braille3D checkout.
The website and generator more generally are also governed by the Braille3D Terms of Service.
Products
Braille3D sells products that are typically made to order based on customer-selected text, braille settings, product options, material, color, and delivery method.
Because the products are generated from the customer’s own order data, orders will normally be custom-made or clearly personalised.
Order process
- You configure a product in the Braille3D generator.
- You request a price quote.
- You choose delivery or pickup where offered.
- You complete payment in the checkout flow.
- Braille3D confirms the paid order and starts internal fulfillment.
The on-screen checkout flow and payment confirmation do not remove Braille3D’s right to reject or cancel an order where:
- the order cannot reasonably be produced
- the submitted content is unlawful or infringes third-party rights
- there is a material pricing, technical, or system error
- fraud, abuse, or misuse is reasonably suspected
If Braille3D cancels a paid order before fulfillment, the amount paid will be refunded through the original payment method.
Prices
- prices shown before checkout are Braille3D’s pre-tax prices
- final VAT or other applicable tax is calculated at checkout
- delivery charges, if applicable, are added according to the chosen fulfillment method
Braille3D reserves the right to correct obvious pricing, typing, or technical errors before the order is accepted for fulfillment.
Payment
Payment is processed through the payment methods offered at checkout.
Braille3D currently uses Stripe Checkout for payment processing. Card payments and other eligible payment methods, such as MobilePay where available, are handled in that payment environment.
The customer receives the payment receipt from the payment provider where that feature is enabled. Braille3D may also send operational order emails, such as production, pickup, or shipping updates.
Delivery and pickup
Available fulfillment methods are shown at checkout.
If delivery is selected:
- the delivery address provided during checkout will be used
- estimated delivery time is indicative unless otherwise stated
- the risk of loss generally passes according to mandatory consumer law and the chosen delivery arrangement
If pickup is selected:
- Braille3D will notify the customer when the order is ready
- pickup takes place at Pantheonsgade 5, 2. sal., 5000 Odense C, Denmark
- the customer must collect the order within a reasonable period after notification unless otherwise agreed
Pickup is offered only in Odense and only by prior agreement through the checkout and order-confirmation flow.
Braille3D is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, force majeure, or other conditions outside reasonable control.
Braille3D currently sells to customers in Denmark and internationally, subject to the delivery countries, checkout configuration, carrier availability, and applicable law in force at the time of purchase.
Right of withdrawal and custom-made goods
Under Danish and EU consumer rules, consumers buying online normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal.
However, that statutory withdrawal right does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised.
Braille3D print orders will normally fall within that exception because they are produced specifically from customer-provided text, chosen layout, and order-specific selections.
This means that once a physical Braille3D order is a custom-made or clearly personalised item, the ordinary 14-day withdrawal right does not apply.
- this does not remove your statutory rights if the product is defective, damaged, or materially different from what was agreed
- this exception should be read narrowly and only applies where the order is genuinely custom-made or clearly personalised
If you want to request a change or cancellation before production starts, contact Braille3D immediately at contact@braille3d.com. Braille3D will try to help where possible, but is not obliged to accept cancellation once a custom order is in production.
Complaints and defects
If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights under the Danish Sale of Goods Act in case of defects.
As a general rule, consumers have a 2-year right to complain about defects that were present at delivery or whose cause was present at delivery.
The right to complain does not cover, for example:
- normal wear and tear
- damage caused by misuse, accidents, incorrect storage, or incorrect installation after delivery
- issues caused solely by customer-supplied content that was entered or approved by the customer, unless Braille3D itself made the production or translation error
If you discover a defect, contact Braille3D within a reasonable time at contact@braille3d.com and include your order number, a description of the issue, and photos if relevant.
Braille3D will assess the issue and, where required by law, offer an appropriate remedy such as repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund.
Customer responsibility for submitted content
The customer is responsible for the correctness of submitted text, names, addresses, URLs, and chosen options.
Braille3D is not responsible for customer-approved spelling mistakes, incorrect names, incorrect destination addresses, or other errors caused by the customer’s own submitted data.
This does not limit the customer’s rights if Braille3D’s own manufacturing or translation process introduced the error.
Intellectual property and unlawful content
The customer confirms that submitted content does not infringe third-party rights and is lawful to reproduce.
Braille3D may reject, cancel, or refuse to fulfill an order containing unlawful, abusive, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate content.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
To the extent permitted by law, Braille3D is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss caused by carrier delays, third-party outages, or customer input errors.
Complaints handling and dispute resolution
Please contact Braille3D first at contact@braille3d.com so we can try to resolve the issue directly.
If you are a consumer and we do not find a solution, you may be able to submit a complaint through the complaint portal of Naevnenes Hus for the Danish consumer complaint system.
The former EU Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025, so no ODR platform link is provided.
Governing law
These Terms of Sale are governed by Danish law.
If you are a consumer residing in another EU or EEA country, mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence may still apply where required by law.
