What Braille3D does
Braille3D provides:
- an online generator for creating 3D-printable braille designs and downloadable files
- information about braille-related products and accessibility
- an optional checkout flow for ordering physical custom-made prints
The generator is intended to help users create braille objects more easily, but it remains the user’s responsibility to check that the chosen content, language, braille standard, size, and product type are suitable for the intended use.
Acceptance of these terms
By using the website or generator, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree, do not use the website or generator.
Use of the website and generator
You may use Braille3D only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
- use the service in a way that is unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or misleading
- attempt to damage, disable, overload, reverse engineer, probe, or interfere with the service or server infrastructure
- upload or submit content you do not have the right to use
- use the service to create content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
- use automated tools in a way that places unreasonable load on the service
We may suspend or restrict access if use of the service threatens the stability, security, or lawful operation of Braille3D.
User content and design input
You are responsible for the text, names, contact details, URLs, and other content you submit to the generator or order flow.
You confirm that you have the right to use any submitted content and that the content does not violate applicable law or third-party rights.
You retain your rights in the content you submit. You grant Braille3D a limited right to process that content only as necessary to:
- generate your requested files
- fulfill your order
- provide customer support
- maintain records required for business, legal, tax, and accounting purposes
Accuracy and intended use
Braille3D is designed with accessibility in mind and aims to produce useful tactile output. However:
- braille translation rules vary by language, standard, and context
- physical print results can vary by printer, material, slicer profile, and post-processing
- tactile suitability should be checked before safety-critical or large-volume use
Braille3D is not a substitute for professional review where an error could create a meaningful accessibility or safety problem, for example in permanent public signage, medical environments, or emergency wayfinding.
Physical products and custom manufacturing
If you order a physical product, Braille3D may manufacture it specifically from your requested text, configuration, and checkout selections.
Physical orders are governed by the separate Braille3D Terms of Sale in addition to these Terms of Service.
Intellectual property
All website content, branding, copy, layout, and non-user-generated material on Braille3D are owned by or licensed to Braille3D unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, republish, sell, or exploit Braille3D materials beyond ordinary personal or internal business use without permission, except where mandatory law allows otherwise.
This section does not claim ownership of the custom text or other material that you yourself submit.
Third-party services
Braille3D may rely on third-party services, including payment, hosting, analytics, fraud prevention, email, and mapping or delivery services.
Examples may include Stripe for checkout and payment processing.
Braille3D is not responsible for outages or failures caused by third-party systems outside its reasonable control.
Availability
Braille3D aims to keep the service available, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed.
We may change, improve, pause, or remove parts of the website, generator, or product offering from time to time, including for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited under mandatory consumer law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Braille3D is not liable for:
- indirect or consequential losses
- loss caused by user input errors
- loss caused by unsupported printer or material settings outside the documented flow
- loss caused by downtime, delay, or third-party service failures outside reasonable control
If you are a consumer, this section does not remove your statutory rights in relation to defective goods, misleading information, or other mandatory protections.
Privacy and cookies
Use of the website is also subject to the Braille3D Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Those policies explain how personal data, cookies, and related technologies are handled.
Changes to these terms
Braille3D may update these Terms of Service from time to time.
The version published on the website at the time of your use applies, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
Governing law and venue
These Terms of Service are governed by Danish law, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you stronger protection.
If you are a consumer, mandatory rights under applicable consumer law remain unaffected.
